Host Family
Welcomes children into their home temporarily so that a parent going through a tough time can get back on their feet, and builds relationship with the parent. Hostings can be overnight or day hostings. Host Families (along with our other volunteer roles) serve without compensation through a desire to love their neighbors.
Family Coach
Guides Host Families on their journey by providing support, a listening ear, and connection to resources; Ensures the well-being of hosted children. Family Coaches can expect to serve 2-3 hours per week when supporting a Host Family. Family Coaches receive support and supervision from our Family Care Manager to ensure they are well-equipped in their role.
Parent Ally
Partners with a parent going through a challenging time to support them in setting and reaching their goals; offers encouragement, community connections, and mentorship. Parent Allies can expect to serve approximately 3 hours per week when mentoring a parent. Parent Allies receive support and supervision from our Family Care Manager to ensure they are well-equipped in their role.
Community Friends
Support Parents and Host Families in non-hosting ways, such as transportation, making meals, babysitting, tutoring, and prayer support. – Simply being a friend!
Community Champions Needs Platform
An army of neighbors who share their social network, skill sets, and resources for upward mobility and thriving of isolated families. Receive champion alerts via email for one-time family needs that you can meet such as: job leads, kids clothing donations, moving help, mechanic services, household item donations, resume-writing, help filling out applications, organizing support… and much more!
